Meet the Founder

Welcome to Athena Law. I’m Michelle Anthony-Desir, the principal attorney and founder. My mission is to simplify complex legal processes, empowering my clients to make confident decisions.

With almost twenty-eight years of experience, I have honed my skills across various legal fields, managed multi-million-dollar transactions, and served clients worldwide. This extensive background allows me to focus on key areas of law and offer a distinctive client experience.

I earned my Bachelor of Law degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados, and my Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School in 1996. Since then, I’ve practiced privately in Saint Lucia, initially with Anthony & Associates, then with the Chambers of Chong & Co until 2004, and most recently with Du Boulay Anthony & Co, where I was a founding partner until December 2020.

My career has enabled me to address diverse client needs and develop tailored solutions. While my practice has been varied, I now specialize in conveyancing, corporate, and commercial transactions. As a qualified mediator, I advocate for alternative dispute resolution and innovative solutions, believing that one size does not fit all.

I am an active member of the Saint Lucia Bar Association, having served as Secretary and Vice President. Additionally, I have chaired the Board of Tapion School Limited and currently serve as the Honorary Consul of Sweden in Saint Lucia.

Outside the office, I enjoy beach walks, chasing sunsets, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with my son and daughter.
